Description

Instruction begins with a comprehensive overview of vehicle brake systems, including brake foundations, disc and drum, hydraulics and electronic ant ilock braking systems. An in-shop emphasis focuses on the hands-on repair of braking systems, including rotor/drum reconditioning.This course also covers vehicle chassis systems. The curriculum will address steering systems, front suspension systems, tire and wheel construction and balance and w heel alignment, including two and four wheel adjustments. The theory section incorporates a comprehensive study of vehicular chassis systems in current operation.
Six credit hours.
