Description

Emphasizes maintenance and instruction of motor control
circuits, ladder diagrams, control relays, motor starters,
Variable Frequency Drives (VFDs) and diagram reading. It also
introduces students to troubleshooting programmable logic
controllers (PLC). (Does not include programming of PLC.)
Students will also wire step-up/step-down transformers. The
installation of solid-state timers, photo-electric and proximity
sensors is also covered. Six credit hours.
